  8.  AB    OBJECTIVES: To mobilize 16 Secondary School children for peer education
  9.        and community AIDS activities. To promote participatory education on
  10.        AIDS prevention through folk media/drama within rural areas. METHODS: To
  11.        launch anti-AIDS clubs within 16 Secondary schools. Trained peer
  12.        educators i.e. students officials and teachers, club patrons for every
  13.        16 Secondary schools. Develop AIDS prevention messages to such folk &
  14.        drama. RESULTS: 6 months later after KESPA posed questionnaires to 16
  15.        schools. In 10 of them 80% are aware of the preventive measures, 20
  16.        believed it to be a traditional disease - CHIRA. DISCUSSION/CONCLUSION:
  17.        Many youths could now prevent the scourge and this could be achieved
  18.        when peer education is encouraged. This could be applied to youth
  19.        outside school.
